We really enjoyed the Russian ballet performance that we went to a couple of nights ago. It was of Cinderella so we were able to understand the story line and follow along. We feel like we have been on a "date" for the last 17 days! Yesterday Ryan decided to take the elevator while I walked the 9 flights of stairs to the bottom floor. When I met up with him he said "Wow, I think that is the longest we have been apart in 2 weeks!" Kind of funny, but it's true:-) We are enjoying every minute of it, we know once we get home we will long for the days we could complete our conversations.
Today was our last day visiting with Anna in the orphanage. On Monday when we make that hour long drive, we will be going with the sole purpose of bringing her home! No more playing in that room, no more having to say our goodbye's, she will be ours! Over the weekend we are going to do as much as we can to make the time go by fast. Monday morning starts a new adventure for us and we can't wait!!
Anna seems to have a thing for shoes. Whenever we try to take them off of her she gets really mad. She is particularly attached to these adorable patent leather ones. She has worn them every day since we arrived last Monday, I considered asking the orphanage if we could take them with us, but I think I will buy her a new pair once we get home. Love those chubby legs:-)

I wonder if Anna only gets to wear those shoes for her visits from you? Colin absolutely loves shoes and I think some of it is from having to share shoes all the time and being stuck with whatever they put on him (be it too large or too small).

Have a wonderful weekend! Can't wait to hear of how Monday goes. We'll be praying for everything to go smoothly. I can't remember if you know if she is prone to carsickness or not but assume she is and take what you need just in case :0 We kept Colin looking straight ahead on the road and he did great. We also closed the window blinds (on the sides of the mini-van) and that helped too

Eli was very upset when we took off his shoes. I agree with Heather. We bought Eli a pair of shoes at the flea market, calling them his Russian shoes. When we got home, that was all he wanted to wear- Eli's Russian shoes? He would ask for every time we would go out.

Have you been to the Krasnoyarsk museum yet? It's pretty interesting.
Love those cute little baby legs!! What size shoe does Anna wear? I ran out of time before the last consignment sale to go through all my shoes - I think I have about 3 or 4 bins of shoes that the girls outgrew...would love to share some with Anna if I have some in her size! (I know some of the littler ones are still in great condition, since they outgrew them before they could wear through them!) We'll chat when you get home!

Praying the Anna's transition is smooth. It was surprising to me how easy getting custody of our daughter really was. Orphanage babies are so scheduled and we basically followed her schedule when we had her and had no problems. Hoping the same for you!
